What is Medical Ozone Therapy?

Ozone (O3) is a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms. When used as a gas, this “supercharged oxygen” potentially has therapeutic qualities.
Ozone therapy uses medical-grade ozone created using an ozone generator device. The intent of ozone therapy is to increase the amount of oxygen in your body.
“A higher oxygen level can boost your immune system while promoting healing”, explains Dr. Volpp It does that through cell regeneration — the process of replacing or repairing damaged cells.

"As a physician with traditional training from my time at Cedars Sinai and UCLA, I was initially quite skeptical as to how ozone therapy, particularly ozone therapy with blood filtration (EBOO), would work. The numerous papers and studies that I read made it seem almost too good to be true. However, now that we have been seeing the incredible results in hundreds of patients since opening the clinic a couple of years ago, I am a true believer. Ozone jump-starts the body’s built-in ability to heal itself, and the filtering helps to speed things along by removing a bunch of the junk we have in our blood from chronic inflammation and environmental toxins.”

How Ozone Therapy is Administered?

Synergy O3 use two safe methods to administer medical ozone therapy

  • Non-invasive: Applying ozone to your skin by exposing a section of your body to ozone gas under a protective covering (also called ozone sauna). This is non-invasive and takes about 30 minutes.

  • EBOO filtration: An EBOO machine mixes ozone with your blood. The Ozone gas is dissolved in a sample of your blood from one arm and then reintroduced back into your body in the opposite arm through an IV. This process is called autohemotherapy using an EBOO filtration machine. The blood sample is filtered, oxygenated and ozonated. The EBOO filtration normally takes 45 minutes

What are the Benefits of Ozone Therapy?

  • Immune system support: Ozone therapy activates your immune system and boosts immunity.
  • Improved blood circulation: as more oxygen travels to your cells, tissues and organs.
  • Protection from invaders like bacteria, viruses and fungi by halting their growth and reducing their survival.
  • Reduced oxidative stress, which is an imbalance of cell-damaging free radicals and protective antioxidants that can lead to inflammation and chronic disease.
  • “Ozone therapy functions like an antioxidant or anti-inflammatory,” says Dr. Volpp. “It could potentially be used for any type of inflammation, whether in a wound or related to conditions such as diabetes or arthritis.”
  • Research is ongoing to determine the many potential uses of ozone therapy, but it has been studied for conditions such as:
    • Breathing disorders, like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
    • Cancer.
    • Diabetes.
    • Fibromyalgia.
    • Immune disorders such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
    • Musculoskeletal disorders like disk herniation or carpal tunnel syndrome.

Women’s Health

Ozone can help women overcome common health issues such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and vaginitis, as well as any vaginal yeast/fungal, viral or bacterial infection. It also helps to relax. Transdermal applications of ozone may purify the skin and removes toxins, improving vitality and treating skin problems.
Carbonic Acid and Ozone are applications for rejuvenation and beauty, slowing aging, reducing wrinkles, stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis, improving elasticity, reducing cellulite, and enhancing weight loss.

Sports Enhancement

Hyperthermia and Transdermal Ozone can increase athletic performance by increasing energy levels, building strength, endurance and speed, burning up to 600 calories per session, reducing fat and enhancing muscle mass, speeding up recovery post-exercise, and reducing physical and emotional stress.

  • Increases metabolism and heart rate,
  • Improves oxygen utilization and respiratory efficacy,
  • Cleans veins and arteries,
  • Increases blood and lymph circulation,
  • Enhances mitochondrial function and increases ATP production,
  • Excretes toxins,
  • Stimulates the immune system and promotes healing,
  • Regenerates damaged tissue,
  • Enhances the elimination of lactic acid,
  • Reduces stress,
  • Reduces inflammation/swelling and pain,
  • Reduces chronic joint pain.
  • Helps sports enthusiast to increase energy and improve the way they use oxygen.
